Canada and the United States share the world's most successful economic partnership, but in the face of uncertainty in our trade relationship, our government will protect Canada's interests and ensure that we are putting Canadians first through our Team Canada approach.
In my role as Minister of Transport and Internal Trade, and as a member of the Cabinet Committee on Canada-U.S. Relations, I am working to protect Canadian jobs, defend our borders, and present robust retaliatory trade measures to address any illegal tariffs that may come forward.
In addition, I am focused on removing barriers and strengthening the trade relationships between Canada's provinces and territories to bolster our national economy.
Our government will continue to protect Canada's interests and defend the values that we Canadians hold so dear.
